Harmonize With Sound

Harmonize With Sound

One of my favorite ways to instantly center myself is using sound and my voice.

You don’t need to be a singer to do this.

Healing sounds are an important element of relaxing and soothing the nervous system.

Different traditions use slightly different variations on these sounds. See below.

I like this one because it’s very easy to remember.

ROOT CHAKRA – GA

SACRAL CHAKRA – MA

NAVEL CHAKRA – HA

HEART CHAKRA – AH

THROAT CHAKRA – MMM

THIRD EYE AND CROWN CHAKRA – OM

Sit in Sukhasana, on or off a block.

Relax your hands in your lap and close your eyes.

Release tension in your lower jaw and take a big inhale through the nose, followed by an open mouth exhale.

Visualize RED at the base of the spine. Sound ‘GA‘.

Visualize ORANGE at the pubic bone, several inches up from the base of the spine. Sound ‘MA‘.

Visualize YELLOW at the navel. Sound ‘HA‘.

Visualize GREEN at the center of the chest. Sound ‘AH‘.

Visualize BLUE at the throat. Sound ‘MMM‘.

Visualize PURPLE at the third eye. Sound ‘OM‘.

Visualize WHITE at the crown. Sound ‘OM‘.

You can also listen to music like solfeggio frequencies, attend a sound bath or play this 7 chakra healing video.

Explore sound like a child and allow it to harmonize & heal your body!

Namaste,

Catherine
