LETTING GO OF THE GOOD TIMES

Letting Go of The Good Times

How do you deal WITH THINGS BEING OVER?   DEAD and DONE WITH?

I was thinking about this after returning from a sweet weekend away with my boyfriend.

WHY IS IT SO MUCH EASIER TO LET GO OF THE BAD, THAN THE GOOD?

Or rather, how can we accept that EVEN GOOD THINGS WILL PASS?

When I feel a twinge of melancholy, I like to look at my GARDEN as teacher.

Each year, Nature goes through periods of EMPTINESS and FULLNESS. (And everything in between).

Without our input or control, Nature has SEASONS and those seasons have much to teach us.

EXTRAORDINARY days only become extraordinary as we compare them to ORDINARY ones.

The evanescence of things – their fleeting nature – contributes to their preciousness, helping us appreciate them more.

The next time you’re feeling bereft over a missed career opportunity, a relationship that ended too soon, or even a simple night of raucous celebration that you wanted to GO ON FOREVER, pause and ask yourself,

In the emptiness left by this passing of GOOD, which seeds can I plant for tomorrow?

Because FALLOW GROUND always contains POSSIBILITY

And instead of mourning the DEATH OF ANYTHING, wouldn’t we be better served by turning our attention to FAITH that both GOOD & BAD SHALL RETURN.

The natural ORDER OF THE UNIVERSE will ensure that:

  • YOU WILL FIND SOMEONE YOU’RE REALLY ATTRACTED TO (AGAIN!)
  • YOU WILL FIND AN INCREDIBLE JOB (TO REPLACE THE ONE YOU LOST)
  • YOU WILL HAVE MANY MORE ECSTATIC DAYS IN YOUR LIFE…especially IF YOU PLANT THE SEEDS FOR THEIR RETURN TODAY (by accepting the seasonal and cyclical nature of ALL LIFE)

Have any tips for making it through the UPS and DOWNS?

If so, I’d love to hear from you!!!
