The Benefits of Private Yoga
A NEW YEAR, NEW POSSIBILITIES, and another chance to start fresh. Even as someone personally invested in health, fitness and the healing arts, I always think I have room to improve.
For me this year, I’m committing to more cardio, pilates/strength training, and of course, more green vegetables!
If you’re struggling with decreasing flexibility, a nagging injury, a life transition or any other ailment and want to make a major commitment towards your health this year, consider hiring a Private Yoga Instructor.
Yoga was historically taught one-on-one, passed down through a lineage of esteemed teachers. Private instruction continues this paradigm and enables an intimate dialogue between student and instructor.
I’ve seen the most dramatic changes in client’s bodies who commit to practicing regularly.
“I have several issues from shoulder & neck to low back & hamstring / groin isssues and it helps to have a yogi that knows my limits yet can help me get the most out of my sessions.”
“Her practice is the perfect balance between relaxing and challenging.”
“I found that it has positively influenced other areas of my life too – better focus, creativity, the ability to take things as they come and be more patient with others and myself.”
A minimum of twice a week is considered adequate. Three times is ideal.
I like to say that in 25 sessions I can dramatically transform a person’s experience in their body. Pain lessens. Stiffness is met with flexibility. And grace is restored to the experience of simply being alive.
After 25 sessions, most clients are ready to take beginner level group classes with confidence, and know enough about alignment that they can practice safely.
I teach traditional Hatha Yoga, and within that, incorporate elements of Vinyasa, Iyengar and Restorative practices, depending on the needs of the client. As a former Personal Trainer and competitive athlete, I also incorporate some traditional ‘gym’ workouts, if desired.
If you have any questions about me, my background, or would like to schedule your first session, feel free to call me!
I absolutely love beginners and anyone with a health challenge that other people haven’t been able to fix! Healthy people can call me too:)
Happy breathing and stretching in 2016!
