TRIANGLE POSE (Trikonasana)
Step or jump the feet to 3.5-4’ apart. Feet parallel. Inner arches lifted.
Rotate the left foot in 15 degrees, right foot 90 degrees so the right knee is pointed in the same direction as the 2nd toe.
Heel-to-heel or heel-to-arch alignment
Drop the right arm directly under the shoulder. Rest on shin, ankle, block or mat.
Stretch left arm to the sky, stacking shoulders. Gaze at left thumb.
WORK IN THE POSE
Reach through the crown of the head
Pull the back ribs in, keeping the front and back body in 1 plane
Open the chest 90 degrees from the right knee
First the right hip towards the midline by energetically spinning the right heel clockwise.
