Yoga for Kids
Yoga for Kids
I love teaching kids because they are such natural yogis. It doesn’t take much to get them fired up and excited about learning new things.
Recently I donated kids yoga at a Run/Walk to benefit foster youth.
Look at excited my front row was! Teaching children and seniors are some of the very fulfilling ways I give back to the community.
Yoga is an incredible activity for children and I truly believe that it gives them a respite from the constant stimuli stream that is living in a big city in 2016.
Some of the benefits of yoga for children:
- Increases confidence
- Develops focus and concentration
- Enhances balance and coordination
- Introduces children to the mind-body connection
If you are interested in introducing your child to yoga, consider hiring a private yoga instructor. If you’re concerned whether your child will like it, consider making it a group experience and invite a few more children.
As yoga is portable, all you need is a room (or a yard) and I take care of the rest!
Also, if you are interested in serving foster youth, I’m the Volunteer Director of a great non-profit called Cause for Celebration. We provide birthday parties for homeless and disadvantaged youth throughout Los Angeles. What makes us unique is that our entire organization is run by volunteers.
Each month we make so many kiddos smile with face painting, live performers and activities. If you’re interested in becoming involved, just get in touch. We have on ongoing need for donations, talent and dedicated volunteers.
Blessings to all!
