What Can Private Yoga Do For Me
WHAT CAN PRIVATE YOGA DO FOR ME
One of the most fulfilling aspects for me as a Private Yoga Instructor is witnessing people experience breakthroughs. They can be physical, emotional, spiritual or some synergistic blend of all three.
Recently, a client I’ve been teaching twice weekly for 6 months reported that 75% of his orthopedic pains have disappeared. This is INCREDIBLE!
I wish my clients would let me take pictures of them early on, because they would be able to see what progress they make in just a few months.
Another client describes her weekly private yoga sessions as therapy. “I’m starting to feel my feelings…oooooh, scary.”
And then it’s always nice to hear your clients say simply,
“I’m so happy to have chosen you. Thank you for opening my eyes and my mind.”
Wherever your body and health are today, I’m confident that I can help you find greater ease in your body, and therefore in your daily life. There are so many ways in which a regular private yoga practice can complement an existing physical therapy regimen, a weight-loss/exercise/fitness plan, and even major life transitions such as career changes, divorce, and death.
I feel privileged and deeply honored to be of service to my clients.
Our sessions are sacred time in which my focus is exclusively on you.
I create new programs each session (which can be emailed to you afterwards, if desired), and customize a program that builds in complexity, but always at a gentle pace.
Regular private yoga sessions build strength, flexibility and balance in our bodies.
Did you know that the number one issue for seniors is balance? Activities of daily living like, getting up from a seated position, putting on shoes and pants, and any other movements that require shifting weight from one leg to the other require balance, stability and steadiness.
1 in 3 seniors will fall each year. Diminishing balance is the cause for this. As people age, they become increasingly sedentary. Without the simple gift of walking and being ambulatory, one quickly loses stability. Why is this? Because when we walk, we force the body to balance momentarily on one leg. And then the other.
If you have ever been bed-ridden or temporarily unable to walk, you know first hand how quickly muscles in the lower extremities atrophy. I spent 60 days in bed due to a back injury, and lost 10+# of muscle as a result.
Gentle yoga and walking restored me to health, and renewed my sense of gratitude for the miracle of our bodies.
If you have pain from old injuries, feel stiff when waking in the morning, struggle with back pain, or simply want to lose a few pounds, consider hiring a Private Yoga instructor.
As always, if you have any questions about me, my background, or how I work with clients, feel free to have a look around this site, or simply give me a ring!
