We incarnate into matter for such a brief time before we become spirit again.
Sometimes I see this truth used as an excuse to deny care-taking of the body.
I don’t agree.
Our bodies are divinely made and we should treat them as such. This has become a complicated task in these modern times and we must practice moderation in all things.
Steward your body; don’t be a slave to all its impulses.
Observe your body closely but don’t compare to others; comparison is the thief of joy.
Actively hating your body blasphemes God’s creation.
Your body is where you are living–what kind of a space do you want to live in?
I designed this practice for myself and friends who are noticing the first signs of aging. Less energy, gray hairs, and some new aches and pains.
This forty minute practice nourishes the kidney system in TCM (adrenals/low back), stimulates blood to the scalp to nourish hair growth and reduce over thinking, and reverses gravity by putting legs up the wall.
It’s a deeply restorative practice that I toyed with for a while before filming it.
Even if you take one thing from this practice, it will be worth it. It’s my favorite nourishing video I’ve made so far.
