ALIGNMENT

In WARRIOR  II (Virabhadrasana II), set the right palm on the inside of the right foot. Right shoulder rests on right inner thigh. Right thigh parallel to the mat.

Feet are in heel-to-heel or heel-to-arch alignment.

Float the left arm to the sky, seal the outer edge of the left foot into the mat, and firm the right hip towards the midline by very slightly spinning the right heel clockwise, engaging the right buttock.

Release the left arm behind your back, top of the hand resting against right outer thigh.

Grasp the hands together.

WORK IN THE POSE

Peel the torso off the right thigh.

Lift the heart by rotating the chest open and dropping the left shoulder.

Engage both legs by spinning the right heel clockwise, and pressing the outer edge of the left foot into the mat.

Lift the inner arches of both feet to activate the inner legs.

Shoulders stacked on top of each other.

Reach the crown of the head forward.
