FOREARM PLANK
FOREARM PLANK pose, also called Dolphin Plank, is a powerful core stabilizer that works the shoulders, legs and core – in short, a real full body posture!
There are a couple of nice ways to get into this pose.
I teach it to beginners by starting in SPHINX. Forearm Plank is also a great alternative to PLANK, and for anyone who has wrist injuries.
ALIGNMENT
- Curl the toes
- Press into the forearms and lift the hips up
WORK IN THE POSE
- Reach the crown of the head away from the heels
- Relax the shoulder blades down the back
- Engage the lower belly
- Lift the thighbones
