Goat Yoga!

Goat Yoga!

Goat Yoga Private Yoga Instructor Los Angeles Santa Monica Brentwood Pacific Palisades Bel Air Venice Marina del ReyHave you heard of it? It started in Winter 2017 as a novelty partnership between a New Hampshire yoga studio and a hobby goat farm. And like all good fitness trends, it quickly spread to Los Angeles!

Laughing Frog Yoga is the first studio in Los Angeles to offer Goat Yoga so when I heard classes were selling out since July!!!, I had to try this. (I usually try out all yoga trends, just to stay abreast of what’s going on but you didn’t have to twist my arm for this one.)

If you’re like me and furry little animals of any ilk make you melt, YOU ARE GONNA LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! OMG.

The Goats:

Spanky

Spanky and Pippin, currently about 7 months old, are neutered male Nigerian dwarf goats, born in California.

These little critters can’t stop hopping on and off you! Expect a furry friend on your back in Child’s Pose, TablePlank and if the little guy is feeling adventurous, Down Dog. Keep in mind at this age they can be around 35# of hopping sweetness so engage your core if you get jumped in Chaturanga!

What to Expect:

Expect a light-hearted class where you can take pictures while laughing and falling out of poses. This is YOUR CHANCE to lighten up your yoga so inject some levity!!!

Also, maybe some baby goat pee on or around your mat. These guys are still babies.

For a class of around 30 there were 2 handlers, 2 goats. I was hoping there would be a better goat/student ratio, lol, but it was still fun anyway.

After a 75 minute class you can take pictures and spend more time with the goats!
