Holiday Gift Guide
Holiday Gift Guide
It’s Cyber Monday and here are some of my favorite products for anyone interested in wellness. I have used all of these items for over a decade, and enthusiastically recommend them. [I am not an affiliate of any products mentioned.]
Theracane
This is the original candy cane-shaped device to release triggers points in the body. [Trigger Points are densely woven muscle fibers; think matted hair on a dog. Energy cannot flow through a trigger point.]
I like using it on the upper body and lumbar while sitting, and on the backs of my legs while lying down.
It comes with an illustrated booklet. FYI; if you are totally new to any type of self-massage, it might take a few tries with this tool.
Yoga Tune Up Balls
These soft, rubbery balls have infinite uses.
Used as a pair, they can be rolled under the spine (up and down).
Used as a pair on top of 1 yoga block, they are a wonderful neck release. This is truly a client favorite.
They can also be used sideways along the low back. Finally, a single ball can be used to release glutes, calves, ankles, and many other places on the body.
Yoga Blocks
These are my favorite yoga blocks–durable and will not collapse over time. Absolutely still the best block out there. I recommend all my clients have 1 pair.
Acumat
This is a lightweight mat that has spikey plastic tines on it. You lay on it with thin clothing and it relaxes you. People report all kinds of interesting sensations like awareness of pulse, increased thirst, full body warming, as well as deep relaxation. I love this thing.
Massage Stick
I love this thing, especially when waking or when cold. It’s like a full body WAKE UP and only takes a few minutes.
Book ‘Attitudes of Gratitude‘
This little book is a classic. The original version is square with a red cover, and from the 1990s. This is an updated look and forward, but the same book. It’s a collection of very short essays, each with a message. Very digestable.
Lavender Essential Oil ‘Rivendell Estate Blend’
This is made by a woman in Ojai, California. It is unlike any other Lavender you may come across. It is a blend of 10 different varietals grown on her farm. This lavender is particularly good for soothing frayed nerves, calming the spirit and being quiet in meditation or prayer. *To purchase, email Sandy at rivendell7@aol.com with the items you’d like to purchase, and she will email you an invoice.
If you need help using the Theracane or Yoga Balls, just email me.
Happy Holidays,
Love Catherine & Satya
