0Sesame Ginger Broccoli Slaw
Sesame Ginger Broccoli Slaw
This is a Satya Starseed-endorsed recipe but truth be known, Satya endorses all the foods except Italian parsley. Not. A. Fan. Give her the cilantro, blueberries, melons, grapefruit, tangerines and celery. And no, I didn’t give her this because it has onion in it.
Anyway.
This Sesame Ginger Broccoli Slaw is the perfect recipe when you want something sweet, tangy and crunchy that you don’t have to cook!
Assembly only!
Did I mention it’s INCREDIBLY good for you as well?
I love slaws of all types and this one can be made in about 5 minutes.
It’s the perfect accompaniment to summer sandwiches or a picnic, and can also be made into a main dish with the addition of protein (see below).
SESAME GINGER BROCCOLI SLAW (makes 4 sides)
INGREDIENTS
1 12 oz bag broccoli slaw (could sub cole slaw)
6 TBSP Annie’s Sesame Ginger Vinaigrette
1/2 red onion, minced
1 generous bunch cilantro, chopped
1/3 C cocktail peanuts, crushed (could sub cashews, almonds)
1 lime, juiced
Salt and sesame oil to taste
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients in the above order.
Finish with more chopped cilantro, a dusting of nuts and a drizzle of sesame oil.
Turn it into a meal with cubed firm or extra firm tofu, tempeh or shredded chicken.
